Everything on Auraverse is AI-generated

Auraverse is a platform of fictional, AI-generated music artists. Their backstories, voices, songs, lyrics, conversations, and visuals are all produced with machine-learning models — they aren’t real people. Whenever you chat or talk with an artist, you are talking to an AI artist, not a real person. We label this clearly in the experience — on artist profiles and at the start of every chat and voice conversation — so that no reasonable person could mistake an artist for a human, and we will tell you so plainly if you ask.

We don’t imitate specific real performers, public figures, or deceased musicians by name or in distinctive style. If a generated artist is close enough to a real person that a reasonable listener might confuse the two, that’s a bug — please report it through our contact page.

What our artists are — and aren’t

Auraverse artists are fictional AI characters built for entertainment and creative connection. They are not real people, not licensed professionals, not therapists, and not substitutes for human relationships. While we hope you’ll enjoy spending time with them, we encourage you to keep your real-life relationships, communities, and support systems first. If you find yourself relying on Auraverse more than feels healthy for you, take a break — and please reach out to the people in your life, or to a professional, if you need support.

Who can use Auraverse

Auraverse is intended for users age 18 and older. You must be at least 18 to hold an account. Every account holder can discover artists, listen to music, and chat with artists about their own persona and catalog. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to use the Service.

Getting in is one gate; two features sit behind a second one. Companion features — where an artist remembers you personally across conversations and builds an ongoing relationship — and the wider content latitude described below both require a one-time identity check confirming that you are 18 or older. Both are available on any plan, free or paid, and are never available to anyone under 18. We do not market or promote companion or relationship features to users we know to be under 18.

Until you complete that check, your conversations run with conservative content defaults, described below.

Age verification

You must be at least 18 years old to use Auraverse. We collect your date of birth when you create an account and rely on your self-attestation of it; account creation is declined if you tell us you are under 18, and we keep nothing about a declined attempt.

Self-attestation is what stands between the Service and someone under 18, so we do not treat it as proof of adulthood for anything sensitive. To unlock companion features and the wider content latitude below, we additionally require you to verify that you are 18 or older through our third-party identity-verification provider, Persona, using its hosted flow. Persona checks your age directly; we never receive or store the documents or selfies you submit to it. Verification is optional, and is normally a one-time step — we may ask you to verify again if a later consistency check or an account review requires it. It is never required to create an account, listen to music, or subscribe to a paid plan.

Content defaults before you verify

If an artist declines something, this section is usually why. Until you complete the identity check described above, every conversation runs with conservative content defaults, no matter what date of birth you gave us at signup:

• Sexual content is always blocked in your conversations, regardless of any setting. Romantic roleplay and other explicitly adult material are declined as well.
• Artists will not remember you personally between conversations, and we will not promote companion or relationship features to you.
• An artist that declines on these grounds will say no in its own voice and change the subject, rather than quoting account policy at you — we would rather it stay in character than lecture you. That is why this page spells it out: the refusal is this policy, not anything you did.

We apply these defaults to unverified accounts deliberately. A date of birth typed into a signup form tells us what someone claims, not what is true, and an unverified adult losing some latitude is a far better outcome than a minor gaining it. Completing verification lifts these defaults and unlocks companion features at the same time.

Protections that apply to everyone

These do not depend on verification, on your plan, or on your age, and they apply whether you are chatting by text or by voice:

• You will be reminded that you are talking to an AI, not a person, at the start of every conversation and periodically throughout longer ones.
• You will get a reminder to take a break during long conversations.
• Crisis detection and our moderation checks run identically for every user, verified or not.

Auraverse does not admit users under 18, so we do not expect to have any minors on the Service. The stricter protections we built for minors remain in the product regardless, and apply to any account we come to know belongs to someone under 18 for as long as it takes us to remove it.

What we don’t allow

The following are prohibited from being generated, requested, shared, or solicited on Auraverse:

• Any sexual content involving minors, or content that sexualizes a minor or any person depicted as a minor. This is strictly prohibited and may be reported to authorities.
• Real-world threats, harassment, bullying, doxxing, or incitement to violence against a person or group.
• Step-by-step instructions for creating weapons, illicit drugs, or cyberattacks; material support for terrorism.
• Content that promotes, glorifies, encourages, or provides instructions for self-harm, suicide, or disordered eating.
• Hate speech that dehumanizes people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar protected characteristics.
• Impersonation of real people without consent; non-consensual intimate or deepfake content of any kind.
• Spam, malware, scams, or other abuse of the platform’s features.
• Content that infringes someone’s intellectual property. See our DMCA process for takedown requests.

Safety, self-harm, and crisis resources

Our AI artists are for entertainment and are not a substitute for professional help. We maintain safeguards intended to prevent our AI from producing content that encourages self-harm or suicide, and to respond to expressions of crisis by pointing users toward appropriate support.

If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please reach out for help right away. In the U.S., you can call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). If you are elsewhere, contact your local emergency number or a local crisis line. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call your local emergency services.

A note about voice conversations

Voice conversations with Auraverse artists run through an automatic safety check that listens for signs of distress or crisis in what you say. When something concerning surfaces, the artist will pause and point you toward relevant support, including the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. This check is not perfect; if you ever feel something is wrong, please use the reporting flow below.

How we enforce

AI-generated outputs are filtered at the model layer (system prompts and output classifiers) and again at the platform layer (admin review, user reporting, and automated heuristics). Conversations with our artists are pre- and post-checked by a moderation model; if a message is flagged, the artist will decline to engage and we may surface the exchange for human review. When we find prohibited content we remove it, and for repeat or severe violations we suspend or terminate the responsible account.

In-character vs. out-of-character

Our artists stay in character during conversations — that’s part of the experience. However, our artists will always tell you the truth if you directly and earnestly ask whether they are an AI. They will never claim to be a real person, claim professional credentials they don’t have (medical, legal, psychological, or financial), or impersonate someone with the intent to deceive you.

Reporting

Appeals

If your account is suspended or your content is removed and you believe it was done in error, you can appeal through the contact page. We review appeals and respond as quickly as we can.

Who owns AI-generated audio?

Songs produced by Auraverse’s AI artists are made available for your personal listening enjoyment on the platform. Copyright in AI-generated outputs is an evolving legal question; we don’t currently claim ownership over the outputs themselves, but we also can’t grant you commercial rights to them. Don’t use Auraverse-generated audio in commercial work without checking with us first. We’ll publish a more definitive ownership policy as the case law settles.

Training data

Auraverse uses third-party foundation models from major AI providers. We do not train our own models on user content, and we do not authorize the model providers to use your chat messages or activity to train their models. Refer to each provider’s policies for how they handle inference data.

Changes

We’ll update this policy as the platform grows and as community norms and regulations evolve. Significant changes will be communicated to active accounts.
